Olive trees have been around for thousands of years and were already plentiful during Biblical times. They are one of the plants most cited in literature and they also inspired the famous artist Van Gogh to paint them in some of his paintings.

The aim of The Olive Basket is to promote the olive and show how a small fruit can have a big influence on life and well being.The items for sale on this website have been chosen  to offer a selection of olives, olive oils, condiments, olive wood and olive bodycare products. In addition to these, I have chosen some products which compliment the olive very well and these include a small selection of balsamic vinegars and nuts.
